A trip to Ethiopia... and London too.

Above: After a long flight, we disembarked in London for a two-day visit. One of the first things we learned: yes, they really do drive on the "wrong" side of the road. They have to--their cars are made backward.

| LEFT: Technically, that's not Big Ben. That's actually the name of the bell inside the tower. We toured the Parliament building while we were there. ABOVE: Wendy and Holly in front of Buckingham Palace. Someone apparently forgot to tell the Queen we were coming. |
London is the home of the original Hard Rock Cafe. Though not quite as steeped in tradition as some of the other venues we visited, it provided us with a good dinner. | |

This village sits at the foot of the Udo escarpment, where The Eden Projects have planted some 2,000,000 new trees. |

Workers in the village prepare seedlings to be taken to the hillsides. |
Workers quickly dig holes and plant the seedlings. |
The village children consider us a fascinating attraction. Their favorite position was directly in front of the camera. |

| Recording an interview at the Awasa nursery, where seedlings are grown. | The girls pose with Baruc, one of our drivers. He had an amazing knowledge of local birds and wildlife, and the girls quickly adopted him. | A worker tends seedlings at the nursery. |
| Hippos play by the shore of the lake. Note the lack of a fence between us and them! | A traditional Ethiopian meal served "family style." It may look a bit messy, but it was delicious. | |
